Rennes

Rennes is the capital of the region of Brittany. It is called Resnn in Gallo and Roazhon in Breton. Its name comes from the Riedones, the name of the Gallic people who inhabited this part of Armorica in the 2nd century B.C. Rennes is the eighth largest university town in France and Rennes Métropole has 402,000 inhabitants.
